I am passionate about using many massage techniques to rejuvenate, reduce pain & rehabilitate.
From a very young age Kate enjoyed giving massage to family members & enjoyed the positive response that she would receive & the relief her mother experienced in regard to her rheumatoid arthritis. Once in her 20’s & working in a professional career, she met a client studying massage therapy who began treating Kate for her many sporting injuries with regular massages. After this experience Kate understood the multitude of benefits that come from massage therapy treatments & was inspired to go into the field herself.
Kate went on to study massage at the well respected Melbourne institute of Massage Therapy in Heidelberg, completing her Cert 4 in 2004, specialising in oriental techniques including cupping, shiatsu & acupressure & then going on to complete the Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2012 with honours, specialising in Sports, Trigger Point Therapy & Anatomy.
She then continued to grow her skills & knowledge completing a course & a further Advanced course in Myofascial Dry Needling whilst on maternity leave in 2013.
In the early days of her Massage career, Kate worked with two local football sporting clubs for 5 years as a trainer & massage therapist. Kate has also worked at the prestigious Club Med on Lindeman Island. As a result, Kate has a vast range of experience & knowledge that she brings to the table.
Kate is very passionate about natural therapies & applies these philosophies & beliefs to her own life. Having had a prolapsed disc injury herself, along with many others, she understands the benefits of keeping the body in proper function, alignment & taking care of one’s self through regular massage, good health & nutrition.
Kate has treated all ages from children with growing pains & injuries, to adults/elderly with everyday aches & pains, those suffering from illness, accidents & surgery.
